At the time of writing, it was necessary for me to be quite clear that I was posting to the WG list in a private capacity only.
PSINet had acquired The Pipeline Network in February 1995, and Intercon Systems Corporation soon thereafter; the two subsidiaries also had a business relationship in 1994 while they were both independent entities. Amanda Walker represented Intercon in an official capacity to the WG (and the IETF); she basically retained that role for PSINet too. So, as a PSINet employee, (and as one of the original "Pipeline People"), I couldn't post to the list in any official capacity.
